Chromium carbide steel plate, often referred to as chromed plate or hardfaced plate, is a type of wear-resistant steel plate designed to withstand severe abrasion and impact. It is made by overlaying a layer of chromium carbide alloy onto a base metal substrate, typically mild steel or low-alloy steel, through a welding process.
